The Black Keys have been around since 2001, but they only started receiving world-wide attention last year with their release of Brothers. With tracks like “Tighten Up” and “Howlin' For You” featured on the video games FIFA 2011 and NHL 11, the talented rock duo proved themselves to be a band that is not going away anytime soon. Their latest release, El Camino, is just another example of their musical expertise.
Hailing from of Orange County, NY, Young English started out when Chris (vocalist) drunkenly called Gorse (Bass), to say that they should start a punk band, a month later the writing began. Liking the music they came up with they knew they needed more band mates, so Gorse called upon former band mate Matt (Gutiar) and Barry (Drums) to make up the remaining components. Almost instantaneously the guys hit it off. ‘I Hate My Friends “was written over a 3 month span and was recorded with Alex Goot. This album gets a vinyl treatment and hits stores on December 6th, 2011 on a limited edition 7" through Panic Records.
Weatherstar was formed in the summer of 2009 by singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Cameron Walker. Since then, Weatherstar has released three EP's, done national tours, performed at the Vans Warped Tour, has been recognized in Alternative Press Magazine as being buzz worthy, and has been featured on Purevolume's Top Unsigned list. The electro pop band is taking on Christmas this time, with some traditional popular Christmas songs and also with some not so traditional Christmas songs.
